A Few Projects

Remember the goodies I got from Michael's last week, well i've been a busy bee these last few days. I used the white wrapping paper and the teal ribbon to wrap the coasters that I made before. This was their presentation, I thought they needed a little sprucing up

For those of you who don't want to go back to the previous post, I made these myself borrowing the idea from Style Me Pretty. It was a relatively easy project but considering I had to make favors for 80 guests with four per guest, it was a very tedious process and I was very happy when I finished my last coaster. I used the leftover damask to use as a backing for the guest's names. I will print each guest's name on some white card stock and stick it onto the damask backing therefore making a place card and favor in one. Voila!

I also did a semi mock up of my table. Click on the picture to get a better view of it. The dishes, glasses and flatware are all from my home so the actual ones will most likely be different, the centerpiece is my cardbox, (just for trial purposes). The only things really that are going to be used for sure are the tablecloths and the napkins. I really like the look of it and i'm strongly leaning towards a flowerless table. I can't bear the thought of all these flowers dying after my wedding. I'm just silly that way. If I go the stacked box route, they will be a little smaller and shorter than the one shown here.

If I go the flower route, I will do all white roses in aqua vases like the one here. I started with a clear glass vaseand sprayed it with Robins egg spray paint, another one of my Michael's finds. The color looks like Baby blue here but it's actually aqua. This vase is just a small one I had at home, the ones I would use would be bigger and taller.

I think either option will run about $15 per centerpiece, so ladies please tell me what you think about all my projects.

TTFN (ta ta for now).

  2. ooohhh, I love your table scape. Never considered a flowerless centerpiece but the way you have centered your card box definitely opens my mind to thinking outside of the box. Love your blog and all your inspirations! Consider me your new faithful follower!! ;)
